About the brand

Work, quality and well-being

Mauro Trimigliozzi founded Philip Martin's in Italy in 2006 and named it after his two children, Filippo and Martina. His third child, Tommaso, gave his name to the brand's training school, Tommy's Academy.

The logo is an eye between two intertwined hands: a picture of work, sharing and collaboration. The formulas pair organic ingredients with green chemistry, and every line is built for two moments: the professional service in the salon and the care at home.

How to use

The salon hair ritual

The order Philip Martin's is built around. Match each step to the scalp and hair in the chair.

  1. Pre-washApply the oil, gel or scrub to the scalp before shampoo to prepare and rebalance it.
  2. WashThe shampoo for the condition: Everyday for frequent washing, Calming for sensitive scalps, Purifying for oily ones.
  3. Rinse or maskThe matching rinse, or a mask when the lengths need more nourishment.
  4. FinishA leave-in or spray for protection and shine, then the styling product for hold.

Is Rapple the official distributor?
Yes. Rapple Salon Products is the sole South African distributor of Philip Martin's, with stock in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
What is a pre-wash?
A treatment applied to the scalp before shampoo, such as Jojoba Pure Oil, Olive & Aloe or Scalp Scrub. It prepares and rebalances the scalp so the wash cleanses without stripping.
Why can't I buy colour?
Professional colour and some salon treatments are trade only. Log in with an approved salon account to see prices and order, or open a trade account.
